On his thirteenth birthday, Jason Blatty's life spirals out of control when under the influence of his only friend - an ancient doll, named Johnny. 

When Johnny is revealed to be a 

"Whisper Doll" - an object inhabited by an evil spirit, family and friends conspire to separate the doll from the boy.

But the evil spirit doesn't like that plan at all.
