I can't believe it took me 30 years of taking Film/TV projects from script to screen to realize this:

It's time to move on from slow prose writing.

The screenplay format is the most potent and efficient way to experience a story on planet Earth.

People - not just professionals - should be experiencing new stories through the medium.

While consuming writing of all kinds, readers make their own movies in their minds.

POCKET SCREENPLAYS upgrades the reading experience to a turbo pace.  Storytelling on steroids.  A quick-read on a couple of train rides or the complete story in a couple of hours in the weekend or after dinner -- our stories are designed to inspire, excite and thrill.  Never boring - always moving forward-- Dylan Coburn, Founder - Pocket Screenplays

A NOTE ON SUBMISSIONS

As an artist-owned publisher with a business model new to the entertainment industry, I'm minimizing risk by only publishing works where I hold 100% of the copyright.  In the future, I'd love to bring great stories from other writers to market, but in the first phase - POCKET SCREENPLAYS is not accepting external submissions for publication.  If you'd like your screenplay considered for publication - please look out for a call for submissions in 2026/2027.

Thank you! -- DC
